Horizontal framework

Horizontal formwork works are carried out for reinforced concrete elements such as beams, slabs, and stairs. Horizontal formwork is a temporary structure used in reinforced concrete structures to carry out pouring and support horizontal elements until the required concrete strength is achieved. Formwork must meet safety and quality standards according to BS EN 8500, checked by engineers throughout the work process. The aim of Kontakt for reinforced concrete structures is to achieve clean concrete pours. Therefore, Kontakt works closely with leading companies in formwork production such as Doka and Peri. Peri panels with thicknesses of 1.5–2.5 cm are used for pouring horizontal elements, supported by a substructure made of metal scaffolding, Doka, and rails. For monitoring temperature and concrete strength, Paschal Maturix software is used, which helps determine the correct stripping time. Generally, the stripping of horizontal reinforced concrete elements occurs 28 days after pouring.
